PHP Migration Services
Ibuildings PHP Migration Services are a series of separate yet tightly integrated services designed to help you migrate your PHP applications to the latest version of PHP. We can help you bring your old PHP 4 applications up-to-date, or assist in updating from PHP 5.2 to PHP 5.3.
Understanding the issues
Sometimes migrating to a new revision can cause headaches: poorly written code may cause problems, new technologies need to be integrated, and there is always some breakage that is a normal part of any migration. Understanding the potential issues ahead of time can make your migration effort faster and smoother for everyone involved, thereby saving you time, money and frustration. How does that happen?
Careful evaluation and planning
Our professional service consultants first gather information about your current PHP environment and carefully assess it. We will also make sure that your objectives are clearly defined and that we understand exactly what your expectations are. After that, detailed technical and business recommendations are made to help you achieve your business goals.

Migrating from PHP 5.2 to 5.3
PHP 5.3 has several advantages over PHP 5.2. PHP 5.2 might still be suitable in your situation, and you may have not considered updating. However, as of July 2010, PHP 5.2 will only receive security fixes.
No new features will be added, and no bug fixes will be done, unless they are security bugs. This means that it will be harder to get support for this version of PHP in the future. Eventually, security fixes will stop too, at which point you have no choice but to move on.
That's why we recommend you to upgrade today and start benefiting from what PHP 5.3 has to offer.
