The White House recently launched its new website, powered by Drupal. The move from proprietary to open source solutions will hopefully encourage more government organisations – also in Europe – to pick up open source.
The announcement was shortly followed by news from Packt Publishing that Drupal has won the Best Open Source PHP CMS Category in the 2009 Open Source CMS Awards.
