After announcing Derick Rethans as the most requested PHP Guru in the Call for Ideas for the
Dutch PHP Conference, we are now announcing the most requested topic:
PHP6 (and, if not released by the time of the conference, the upcoming PHP 5.3 release).
The talk will not only cover the new features of PHP6, but also addresses what you can do in your apps right now, to smooth the transition later. In other words, tips 'n tricks to keep your code 'portable' across versions.
We have selected an expert on PHP migration,
Stefan Priebsch, to give this presentation. Stefan is an internationally recognized PHP expert, book author and regularly publishes articles in professional journals.
Stefan has presented the what's new presentation recently in Quebec and he knows all about migrating PHP. At least, that's what I expect from someone who just finished a book on PHP migration. The book, which covers not only migrating PHP code, but also migrating the environment, will be out as "PHP migrieren" in Germany and in a slightly shortened version as the "php|architect's Guide to PHP migration" in English.
Interested in this and other talks about PHP? You can enjoy them at the Dutch PHP Conference on June 14.
Register before April 14 and pay only € 100,- for the conference day.
