We have some updates regarding the
Dutch PHP Conference in June (13th and 14th):
1. Conference day - 95% mark reached
95% of the conference day seats are sold. There are a few places left.
Register while they are still available.
2. Tutorial day - few extra seats
Because of the popularity of the tutorial day, which was sold out rather quickly, we talked to the venue owners, reshuffled a bit here and there, and we can now offer a few extra seats for the tutorial day. These will be given out in first-come-first-serve basis, first to people already on the waiting list, then to people who also have a pass for the main conference day, and if there are still left, to others. The price was € 395 for just the tutorial day, but it's cheaper if you also visit the conference day. To get one of these tickets, email
mechteld@ibuildings.com.
By the way: please bring your laptop to the tutorial day if you can.
3. Friday night pre-conference party
We just planned a pre-conference party on friday the 13th. From 20.00 onwards, join us at the
Werck Bar at the Prinsengracht in the city center of Amsterdam. Since it's the Dutch conference, we have asked the Dutch national soccer team to play a match :-), and they agreed and since they are at the European Championship anyway, they'll play against France. This match can be followed live on television from the bar (hint: wear orange). We propose that if the Dutch team wins, Fabien (lead developer of Symfony and the only French speaker at the conference) will wear an orange shirt at the conference the next day.
From 20.00 to 21.00 it's an open bar (free beer etc.), after that it's a cash bar.
4. Travel arrangements
If you would like to stay the night in Amsterdam, or need help arranging a flight, the 'RAI Hotel & Travel Service' can help out. See the
Travel page at the conference site for contact details.
5. Tags
Maybe a little early, but if you blog about the conference (how you're going to be there, how we are so going to beat the french soccer team, or just to plug the conference), or post images on flickr etc (the outfit you'll wear at the pre-party), add the tag 'dpc08' to your posts. On twitter, use the hashtag '#dpc'.
