Senior PHP Software Engineer

If the answer is “yes”, Ibuildings wants you. Our office in London is urgently looking for several senior software engineers with an excellent knowledge of PHP.
About Ibuildings
Established in 1999, Ibuildings is the leading PHP authority in the UK and The Netherlands. We specialise in Enterprise Web Development, assisting organisations that wish to exploit open source technologies. Ibuildings also provides high-level PHP consultancy, maintains a training practice, and runs a 24/7 support service. We are also partners of Zend Technologies and php|architect.
About You
- You have an excellent working knowledge of PHP and web application development.
- You are a self-starting coder and well versed in various technologies/languages.
- You have a minimum of three years commercial experience in PHP development and preferably a good computer science related degree.
- More importantly, you have an aspiration to become a high-level consultant and/or developer in this area, and a drive to be challenged and to expand your skills.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are a strong team player, and have good communication skills.
- You are actively seeking an exciting new opportunity.
- You have solid experience implementing PHP applications, and an interest in and awareness of best practices in software development.
- You are able to regularly commute to our office in NW London and/or to client locations, and you are eligible to work in the UK.
Zend and/or MySQL certifications are preferred, but not required. However, we do require all new employees to become Zend Certified Engineers within the first few months of employment (at our expense).

Your salary will start in the range £30k - £45k dependent on your experience.
Please note that at the moment, we are not looking to hire telecommuters. (This does not mean that we do not encourage telecommuting - simply that our telecommuting team does not currently require new developers. We are only looking for people who are able to work on-site at client locations / at our offices in NW London.)
